The Power of A Changed Mind

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised (Proverbs 31:30).

I use this verse not to only describe a man or woman relationship but rather refer to any situation that may appear to be wonderful but yet it is toxic. It can be a romantic relationship, work situation, friendship or otherwise.

Don't be deceived as the devil comes disguised in many forms. Activate one of the many senses God have given to you which is DISCERNMENT. There are many situations that may seem to be ideal but actually it ends up being the worst possible situation. The road may glitter in gold but at the end of the road there are shrubs and thorns. Many women and men jump into relationships because there is a yearning for love and companionship; but later down the road that relationship becomes mentally or physically abusive. Also, some of us run to a higher paying job which ends up being very stressful. In either situation, people are so knee deep, it is difficult to overcome.

Many of us know in our hearts that we are in a position where we are NOT supposed to be but yet in our minds.....we cannot seem to let go. It is very important for us to recognize a very toxic situation before getting involved in it. At some point in time we should learn to recognize the signs and listen to that inner voice that shows you things are taking a negative turn. We must discern, listen and obey.

The power of a changed mind can steer your future in a whole new and wonderful direction. Don't be afraid to change your mind and make changes in your life that would benefit you and the generations to follow. A changed mind would open to you a world which you thought never existed. Give yourself the opportunity to smile, laugh and feel comfortable in your own skin. Never let a temporary situation control your life permanently. It is important to recognize that your current situation is virulent, and to know that better can be done. YOU deserve the BEST. This may mean changing jobs, changing friends, changing lifestyle and changing partners.

God is always there to BLESS you....you just have to allow Him to.
