How to Walk on Water

For many years I have taken the bible story of Jesus walking on water in Matthew 14:22-33 for its literal meaning. Yes, I knew that it was a perfect example of faith; we can do anything once we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. However, as a young Christian I thought that “walking on water” really meant – walking on water. How can anyone have so much faith that they can actually walk on water? How can one’s faith be so big to move mountains? How can one’s faith destroy giants? How can one’s faith overcome the deadly poison of a serpent?   As I matured in Christianity, I realized that I was living a pipe dream. Water, mountains, Goliaths and serpents, just to name a few, seemed to be unbeatable adversaries....

Stop Crying to God and Start Moving

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on (Exodus 14:15)   We are all familiar with the movie the Ten Commandments. The movie depicts an abridged version of the movement of the Israelites out of Egypt and into the promised land.  Pharaoh freed the  Israelites after a series of plagues; however, he changed his mind and Pharaoh ordered over 600 of this soldiers and chariots to pursue the Isrealites. When the people of Israel saw the soldiers and their chariots approaching, they cried out to Moses. They accused Moses for bringing them into the desert to die. When You can’t Pray…..JUST PRAISE

We are all sinners and we face many struggles and trials in our lifetime. Our struggles are packaged differently. There are people with broken relationships, family turmoil, insolvent debts and incurable diseases. There are dark moments in our lives where we cannot even see the light. Darkness surrounds us and our faith weakens. There are times where we may even doubt our existence and purpose in life. But God's love is always here and He would never forsake us.  Nehemiah 8:10 states, "Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength". PICK UP yourself and thank God because you are STILL HERE. You didn't happen by chance and the unfortunate circumstances that are in your life is God's way of teaching and preparing you for the blessings that are...
